Lemonade Stand

We played a lemonade stand game as buisness practice. We started out with $3 and had to sell lemonade and make a profit in 30 days. At the end of the 30 days I ended up with $23.30. Overall I made $20.30

NY Times

http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2011/03/27/magazine/senior-class.html?_r=1

The link above is a link to some seniors in high school who talked for about 27 seconds about what they want to do in the future.

If I had to do this and talk about what I want to do I would say: "In the future I would like to be an oncologist which is a cancer doctor. As a doctor I just want to see people with cancer get better and live their life to the fullest and in some cases, maybe even cure cancer. Helping people is what I want to do in life."

Lance Armstrong

To me, Lance Armstrong is a great man. He is a cancer survivor and he created the Livestrong foundation. I think it is stupid that they took down the Livestrong sign at the soccer complex. If you ever were a supporter of Livestrong or Lance Armstrong and now you're not, it is stupid. Every bicyclist uses steroids, just not every one was tested weekly like Lance Armstrong. Yes, he has a reputation to hold and he made a mistake. Big deal. Everyone does. He shouldn't have been stripped of his medals either. He won those without steroids, the tests prove it. I still fully support Lance Armstrong and the amazing million dollar foundation he created. It represents everyone that has cancer and that is effected by cancer.

Telepresence Technology

This is a robot that helps kids go to school, or at least that's its use for now. It is really cool because kids that have diseases and are too weak to go to school use this and are able to get lessons from their teachers like other kids. They are able to have a social life again and are able to communicate with other students. This is a wonderful invention because kids that are too sick to leave their house should be able to have experiences like other children. In the future this will probably be used for kids when they are sick with the flu or something so they don't really miss any school.

Welcome To My Blog!

Hi, my name is Ashlee Bishop. Welcome to my blog!

  • I googled my name and it only shows results for the spelling 'Ashley,' so I'm going to tell you why my name is spelt 'Ashlee.' 'Lee' was my grandmother's maiden name and she passed away due to cancer a few months before I was born. So, my parents named me after her.

  • My favorite flavor of ice cream is mint chocolate chip.

  • If I had 1 million dollars I would put a lot into savings so that when my kids grow up they are well off. I would also donate some to the Susan G. Komen foundation and the Livestrong foundation. I would buy my parents and brother new cars and whatever else they wanted as well.
